Dinner for Friends

Everyone loves a baby… and our good friends Brian & Alicia Larson, along with their two year old son Luke, welcomed little Lucy Larson into this world just two short weeks ago. And because of this, I was introduced to “takethemameal.com” (great idea, by the way! why can’t I think of these things??). So after work I was able to run to Trader Joe’s, make them dinner and pumpkin bread – all before 545!

Dinner:

Whole wheat rotini pasta

Artichokes

Sun-dried tomatoes

Crumbled goat cheese

Pesto

along with ciabatta bread covered in butter, garlic salt & garlic pepper – mmmm

I used my same pumpkin bread recipe that I used a few weeks ago and added Trader Joe’s milk chocolate bars chopped up into pieces – I’m not sure why I love the chunks instead of chips, but I do.

So that was the dinner. We visited for about an hour, so hopefully they heated it up and were able to enjoy warm food. We had some of the leftover pasta and I really enjoyed it.
