Today is a special day – Brad’s parents finally get to meet their grandpuppy!
While Brad is picking them up from the airport, I can quickly write this blog because I’m sure this weekend is going to be filled with lots of fun – including a bbq tomorrow. And to prepare, we made tortillas tonight. It was definitely a team effort with Brad rolling, me pressing and two skillets on the stove.
My grandma’s tortilla recipe:
2 C flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
2 T shortening
3/4 C lukewarm water
Mix together, roll (or press) and cook on a hot skillet. It’s easy enough and like most things, the results do not even compare to the store versions. It is really in a different league and it’s delicious.
